2016 is going to be an exciting year for campaigning and advocacy on water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH). It marks the beginning of the new Sustainable Development Goals (Global Goals), setting the development agenda until 2030. Governments will be developing their national level implementation plans for the next 15 years. This is going to be a great opportunity for influencing to achieve the future we want. We have to make every action count!

End Water Poverty and all WASH organisations around the world celebrate the new global framework. We particularly applaud the specific WASH Goal 6: "ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all". Governments worldwide have officially adopted these Goals, setting the agenda for our future. We have to hit the ground running! Now is the time for the hard work to begin! It is essential that WASH is prioritised – improved water and sanitation for all will make early success and sustainable progress possible across so many of the Global Goals.

We demand water and sanitation for all.
It is critical we leave no one behind.
Water is life. Unite for for a better future. Now is the time for change.
