IRSP Pakistan in collaboration with European Union and Water Aid has launched a 3 years program entitled “Promoting Civil Society participation in water and sanitation governance in Pakistanâ€. The objective of the project is to “Contribute to Poverty Reduction in Pakistan through the Achievement of the Water and Sanitation Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)â€. While implementing this project, IRSP will involve line departments, Print and Electronic Media, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), INGOs, elected representatives and community influential in the activities to have positive results of the actions.

A launching ceremony was planned on February 4th, 2011 at Tarroon Hall Mardan where District Coordination Officer (DCO) Mardan, Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Officials, Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) officials, NGOs, INGOs, elected representatives, Health and education departments, Media and community members participated. The purpose of the ceremony was to take the mentioned stakeholders onboard and orient on the project as IRSP will work jointly with these stakeholders.
