Ms. Nasreen Mai 45 year’s old poor woman lived in Uch gul imam bahar e Madina-2 village, who was in severe pain and began to lose her eyesight till she became nearly blind. Worried that she may become blind, she went to consult a Doctor, who assured her that he could cure her, but in return for a high fee. The Old Woman returned back to home without any treatment as she was not able to pay Doctor’s charges for restoring her eyesight.
One day Ms.Ghulam sakina a women from the neighboring house told about the community organization that locals from the same community have established a forum where the most vulnerable and poor people are facilitated in their problems. She met with community members and informed them about her problem. The locals already know her and well aware about her economic condition but they were not organized before so that can help her. Now being the community organization a sign of unity and organization working for community development and problems resolution are committed to make a difference. To this end the President Mr. Muhammad Nawaz assured his commitment for support and help. A day came when Manager of the VO Mr.Ghulam Muhammad called me to attend the meeting which has to be held on 13 Sep, 2016. In this meeting her detail documents were investigated and she was linked and referred to (DARUL HIKMAT FAISALABAD) along with VO manager she went to consult the Doctor.
Treatment was started; Eye operation was successfully completed on 13 Oct, 2016, the community members and Doctor Pay visits the Old Woman regularly to see how she was getting on. Finally, when I fully recovered and there was nothing left to treat, the Doctor declared that his treatment was almost over. He paid her a last visit, and asked for discharge. The Old Woman was brought into the house and now she is completely recovered her eyesight and can see and visualize everything. She declares the village organization is an exemplary and outstanding forum for local solution with great excitement and prays that May Allah succeed this forum in their organizational objectives.
